Join us for our first Virtual Sake Tasting with G Joy on Thursday, June 3rd from 4:30 to 6:30pm Pacific time. All you need is a bottle of G Joy and your Facebook or Twitter account to join in. We'll be in our tasting room, so if you're in the local area, we invite you to drop by.
The point of the tasting is to share our opinions on G Joy, talk about sake, food pairings, saketinis, etc. It’s 2 hours of open dialogue. We’ll answer your questions and ask many of our own. So be prepared to share you thoughts, ideas and experience.
You can join in with either Facebook or Twitter, or you can also use Tweetdeck or other engines that allow you to track both streams. We’ll be using Tweetdeck so we can participate on both at the same time.
How To Participate
1. Get a Twitter or Facebook account if you don’t already have one.
2. Get Tweetdeck if you want to interact with both Facebook and Twitter.
3. Create a search column or way to track all tweets that have "#GSake" in them.
4. Get your friends together with their laptops, phones, etc.
5. Open G Joy sake, taste and tweet making sure to include "#GSake" somewhere in your tweets so the dialogue occurs.
6. Start watching us on both Twitter and Facebook.
Facebook
We’ll start the dialogue and open a window for comments right at 4:30 pm. Have your bottle of G Joy and a glass ready and watch our wall for the start.
Twitter
We’ll start the dialogue and keep it going with # tags on #GSake while reminding people to do the same. We’ll watch it via Tweetdeck.
Tasting
We recommend tasting from a standard white wine glass so you get the full experience of seeing the sake in the glass to judge color, smelling it's depth of aromas and overall flavor components. A classic o-chokko (the little sake cups) are fine but do minimize the overall experience.
